Carla Lewis works in IT in her 9–5 role, but her true passion lies in Aerial Hoop — especially at Tribe. She discovered the studio in 2021 and immediately fell head over heels in love with hoop (sometimes quite literally!). From her very first class, she was hooked by the challenge, creativity and sense of achievement it gave her, with her incredible instructors always there to catch and encourage her along the way.
What began as a hobby quickly became a huge part of her life. Carla was drawn not only to the strength and skill involved, but also to the artistry and self-expression hoop allows. The supportive, welcoming community at Tribe made her feel instantly at home and inspired her to keep growing both in confidence and ability.
“The support and encouragement I receive every time I walk in the door from instructors and friends make this place feel like a home and I knew I wanted to be part of it. I worked hard to develop my skills over the years and got the incredible opportunity to become an instructor in 2024. I now teach both kids and adults and watching new students come and fall in love with Hoop brings me more joy than any other job I could imagine!”
